In Sage 100, while creating a New Sales Order, system provides option to copy the details of any Order to ease the Data Entry for the User. This is done by using “Copy From” feature of Sage. Copy From feature can be used to copy the exact details, discounts, extended description, etc. into a New Sales Order. User can use the Copy From feature to enter a Sales Order or Quote. This feature can save time during Sales Order Entry.
To use this, user should simply click the Next Number (#) button for the next Sales Order Number. After the selection of number, page refreshes and provides enabled “Copy From” button on the screen.
On clicking the Copy From button a Lookup window appears which provides different Select options like:
- Existing Sales Order
- Quote History
- Invoice history
once we select any above option; e.g here we selected Sales Order in 'Copy from' dropdown - another dropdown 'Order Type' appears with below options:
- Standard Order
- Master Order
- Repeating Order
- Price Quote
- Back Order
As per the selections in the “Copy From” and “Order Type” fields, user gets option to search the desired Record to Copy From Number look up.
Finally on processing the selection, data is copied from the record and is populated for the New Sales Order. After we have the information in the Sales Order module, user can edit any information if required.
However, user can create a new sales order from existing one in just few clicks!
