It a common routine for companies to transfer the inventory from one warehouse to another warehouse. During this movement, stock value of an inventory from one house increases and stock value of anther warehouse decreases. There is a mechanism in Sage 100 through which one can easily record this inventory movement and keep track of their inventory.

- Let’s assume that we want to transfer the item “CABLE WIRE” from warehouse “000” to warehouse”099”.
- Open the Item Transaction Entry screen from “Inventory Maintenance >> Main >> Transaction Entry”.
- On the screen, select the type as “Transfer” to record this inventory transfer and select the “Transfer From Warehouse” and “Transfer To Warehouse”.
- On the Lines tab, enter the amount of quantity that you want to transfer between the warehouses.
- Click “OK” to complete the transaction and post it commit the transaction.
- Now, go to “Item Maintenance” screen and observe the changes in the Quantity group. On hand quantity values have been changed again the warehouses.
With such simple steps, one can easily keep track of inventory transfer record in Sage 100.
